The three container sizes

Every one of these comes with a lock and key, and every one of them is free with service.

9 gallon, 35 pound capacity. The small one. Fits under a desk or beside a reception counter. Right for a one-person office, a satellite location, or a single exam room.

32 gallon, 100 pound capacity. Our most common container by a wide margin. This is the one that suits a typical small business. If you are guessing, guess this.

64 gallon, 200 pound capacity. For records rooms, busy back offices, and departments that generate paper all day. Also the one we bring for purge work.

For very small offices, a single-person operation where even the 9 gallon feels like too much furniture, you can buy a security receptacle outright instead. Some customers prefer owning it. We are happy either way.

How to pick the right size

Most people overthink this. Here is the shortcut we use.

A low-volume office fills a 32 gallon container every four to six months. If that sounds like you, one container on an on-call schedule is plenty. You phone us when it is full.

If you are filling that same container monthly, you want scheduled shredding service instead, and probably a 64 gallon. Weekly, every two weeks, every four weeks, or quarterly. We will look at real volume during the quote rather than selling you a bigger bin than you need.

Ever noticed the paper piles up fastest right after tax season or an audit? Plan for the spike, not the average. It is easier to swap a container than to explain why sensitive files sat in an open box for three weeks.

What goes in

More than people expect, which is the good news.

• Staples, paper clips, and rubber bands all go straight in. Do not waste time removing them
• File folders, manila envelopes, and hanging folders are fine
• Carbon copies, receipts, and thermal paper are fine
• Sticky notes, glossy paper, and colored stock are fine

Keep out plastic binders, three-ring binders, food waste, and anything that is not paper based. If you are unsure about something unusual, call and ask before it goes in the bin.

We do not shred hard drives, electronics, or media. Paper is what we do, and we would rather tell you that plainly than take the job and subcontract it.

We bring the containers to you and place them where you want them.

Service itself is quoted flat and upfront. No hidden charges, and no tax passed along to you, because the material we collect is recycled rather than dumped.
